Know Your Insurance
We will bill your insurance company. Insurance coverage varies by company and individual policy. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company to verify coverage for our services. When talking with your insurance company please make a note of the name of the person helping you. This is important information for you to have if questions arise later.
Here are a few questions you may want to review that may help you when talking with your insurance company.
- Is this for a Colonoscopy? If yes, do you have symptoms? If no symptoms will my insurance cover a screening/routine colonoscopy or a colonoscopy due to family history of colon cancer/polyps?
- If I am having a procedure is my insurance contracted with Oregon Endoscopy Center or Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend? (If not, you may have a higher out of pocket cost)
- If I should need lab or pathology testing done while at the Oregon Endoscopy Center it will be sent to Oregon Medical Lab, Pathology Consultants or Caris Diagnostics. Is my insurance contracted with these places? (If not, you may have a higher out of pocket cost)
- If you are being seen for an office visit and require laboratory testing, you may be sent to Oregon Medical Lab or Legacy Lab. Is my insurance contracted with either of these facilities? (If not, you may have a higher out of pocket cost)
- If you are referred by one of our physicians to have a CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Etc., please contact your insurance company to see which facility they are contracted with. Some of the facilities in the area that we use are: Oregon Imaging, Advanced MRI Imaging, McKenzie Medical, Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend, and Oregon Medical Group Cedar Clinic.
